Online Student Study Guide
walks students through the chapter, encouraging them to think through the
material and drawing attention to key points.
Lesson Plans
A detailed lesson plan is provided for every day of the course.
They’re much more practical than a teacher’s edition that merely
offers suggestions for developing plans. The lesson plans tell
teachers how and when to bring in the other ancillary material.
Teacher Resources The Teacher Resources and Materials CD-ROM
includes a variety of material for use in class, divided into four sections:
The
Classroom Resources includes overhead transparencies, application and
reinforcement worksheets, and chapter and unit tests.
The
Student Workbook contains pages for creating a student workbook,
or the pages can be handed out individually.
The
Physical Activity pages provide instructions for physical activities
for students.
The
Taking Charge section contains the worksheets that correspond to
the Taking Charge element in the student text.
Activity and Vocabulary Cards The
Activity Cards
include pictures of various exercises and self-assessments with
descriptions. The
Vocabulary Cards are vocabulary flash cards that help students
learn key terms from the Fitness for Life curriculum. The
cards are provided on CD-ROM, which means you can print out fresh
cards every year—no worrying about cards getting dirty or lost.
Presentation Package The Presentation Package CD-ROM
contains a complete PowerPoint presentation for each lesson in
the book. Teachers who don’t have a PowerPoint projector can
easily turn these into overhead transparencies.
Spanish E-book
The entire text of the student book has been translated into
Spanish and presented on a CD-ROM. Teachers can print out the
chapters for their students who need the text in Spanish, or
they can send it home with students whose parents read Spanish.
Test Bank allows teachers to quickly and easily create
exams from over 500 multiple choice, essay, and matching questions. Contact
your sales rep for access.
In-service DVD presents the Fitness for Life
philosophy, objectives, methods of class organization, suggestions for using
ancillary materials, and instructions for preparing student workbooks.
