Topic 7.10 You Get What You Train For

If you want to improve your guitar playing, you wouldn’t practice on a piano. The same idea applies when you’re building muscle fitness. Once you identify your goals of muscle fitness, you have to train the specific muscles that you want to strengthen. This is referred to as the principle of specificity.

For example, if your goal is to improve your leg strength for soccer, you should choose progressive resistance exercises that specifically develop leg strength.
