Topic 9.5 Anaerobic Training

Anaerobic training is typically performed by athletes who participate in sports that require high levels of aerobic fitness, intense bouts of exercise, and explosive movements like jumping and sprinting. The two most popular forms of anaerobic training are interval training and plyometric training. Interval training is a popular type of anaerobic training that involves periods of intense exercise interspersed with periods of rest. Plyometric training is another type of anaerobic training that focuses on improving athletes’ power (strength multiplied by speed).
