Topic 6.6 Increase Positive Attitudes

If you don’t have a positive attitude toward physical activity, it may be difficult to change your feelings just by thinking about the positive aspects of physical activity. One way to increase positive attitudes toward physical activity is to just do it! Trying physical activities will help you gain confidence about your abilities to perform them. Before you know it, you may find yourself enjoying an activity or a sport. So, before you let your mind stop your body, say, "I can" or "I’ll try." The American Council on Exercise offers suggestions to help you build positive attitudes about physical activity.
