Topic 1.4
Activitygram

Activitygram is a software tool that lets you take charge of your own physical activity program. Using Activitygram, you can keep track of the intensity level of your activities, receive feedback on your physical activity participation, and compare your results to existing physical activity guidelines. When used with an individualized Fitnessgram report, Activitygram can show how much and what kind of physical activities will best help you reach your physical activity goals.

With the Fitnessgram/Activitygram software, you have access to an electronic activity log. You can enter data on step counts or minutes of activity for any days you choose, set personal goals for the number of steps or minutes, and track progress with the activity log. A teacher can print summary reports that combine data from one or more teachers and from one or more classes. The most innovative and motivational feature of the activity log is that teachers and students can create incentive challenges and issue these to classes within a school or to schools within a district. These challenges serve as motivation to the groups to see which ones can achieve the highest levels of physical activity and do the best job of achieving their goals.

Ask your physical education teacher if you have access to Activitygram and Fitnessgram software at your school.
