Introduction

The Fitness for Life Middle School Teacher’s Guide contains additional information on these important topics:

Lesson Plans

The Fitness for Life Middle School Teacher's Guide provides detailed classroom and activity lesson plans for each day of the program. These lesson plans are much more practical than the suggestions for developing plans that might be found in typical teacher editions. Furthermore, the lesson plans explain how and when to bring in the other ancillary material. Click here to view lesson plans 1.1 and 1.4 from the Teacher’s Guide.

CD-ROM Resources

The Fitness for Life Middle School Teacher’s Guide CD-ROM includes a variety of material for use in class, divided into six sections:

Test Bank

The test bank allows teachers to quickly and easily create exams from over 285 multiple-choice questions. Contact your sales rep for access.

Computer Programs

The Fitness for Life Middle School Teacher’s Guide includes basic information about Mount Fitness and Tour de Fitness, two computer programs for review and reinforcement. The "High-Tech Options" section of the Teacher's Guide briefly describes each program and its objectives, and appendix C explains how to use the programs to teach strategy and tactics and to supplement lessons with physical activities.

Special access for these two programs is necessary. For a free preview of the computer games, please contact your sales representative. Other uses are prohibited unless express permission is granted by Human Kinetics, Inc.
