Lesson Vocabulary (English)

active aerobic activity Aerobic activity done at an intensity that raises the heart rate above the threshold into the target zone; many less-intensive activities are aerobic (such as typing, walking, and washing the dishes) but are not considered active aerobics.

aerobic activity Steady activity in which the heart can supply all the oxygen the muscles need.

anaerobic activity Physical activity done in short, fast bursts in which the heart cannot supply oxygen as fast as muscles use it.

actividad de aerobismo activo Actividad aeróbica realizada a una intensidad que eleva el ritmo cardíaco por encima del umbral hacia la zona objetivo; muchas actividades menos intensas son aeróbicas (como escribir a máquina, caminar y lavar la vajilla) pero que no se consideran aerobismo activo.

actividad aeróbica Actividad continua en la cual el corazón puede suministrar todo el oxigeno requerido por los músculos.

actividad anaeróbica Actividad física realizada en arranques rápidos y cortos en los cuales el corazón no puede suministrar sangre y oxígeno con la misma velocidad que los músculos los usan.
